A Bit of Background

My name is Siya, and I live by the edge of Ilkley Moor in Yorkshire, UK.  Before I ventured into the greeting card & publishing world, I studied fashion design and textiles at university (to be honest, I did not enjoy making sewing patterns or sewing; fashion illustration was the best bit for me). And I was once a fashion designer working in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, China. Life had taken a different path when I moved to the UK. I have been an illustrator in the UK for nearly 2 decades, working with many big-name greeting card & publishing studios in Yorkshire and beyond. Because of my ability to draw fashion figures, I was always asked to work on fashion style ranges for my greeting card clients. And a little time ago, a friend of mine asked me to do some personalised fashion illustrations for her big birthday celebration. Then here I am, picking up the path I didn’t quite follow through, working in fashion illustration again alongside my other illustration work. I am now running a bespoke Illustrated live brand activation service for corporate teams, hospitality, private parties and events across the UK and beyond.

  • Here is a simple overview.

    • Before the event

    We’ll have a quick call to align on the essentials: the venue setup, expected guest numbers, and whether illustrations should be done live, from photos, or a mix of both. Each portrait takes up to 10 minutes. We can tailor the sketching style and speed to perfectly suit the atmosphere and needs of your unique event.

    • During the Event

    On the day of the event, I arrive at your chosen location with all necessary materials and equipment and set up 30 minutes before guests arrive.

    During the event, guests can be photographed for the illustration so they can continue relaxing and enjoying the event.

    Attendees are encouraged to capture photos and videos, especially during the exciting reveal!

    • After the Event

    Within a week, I’ll check in to ensure everything met expectations and to discuss any additional illustrations you may want (extra cost may apply).

  • Yes, I work on-site at events, or can work from photos or social media handles. Or I can work on a hybrid option, some live hours, and finish the rest of the site.
